What is “Flickering Dreams”?

So, I’ve stuck my toe into the waters of Movie Review Podcasts, so if you like my Movie Reviews then please give this new show – “Flickering Dreams” – a listen. Each week I’ll be joined by a panel of film reviewers to have a general jabber about the latest reviews, and – where applicable – talk about any other movie news.

For example, in the most recent episode we discussed some of the more surprising results coming out of the recent BAFTA awards presentation.

Where can I find the podcast?

It’s available to listen to on all your favourite Podcast platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon. You can also play any of the episodes direct from the website at http://www.flickeringdreams.com.

If you have any suggestions for improvement or new features as a part of the show, please let me know. All feedback welcome!

Hi Bob. Great to see the podcast. I have yet to listen to it but will be doing so soon. A few things I would love to see both on the blog and podcast is reviews for classic/older movies and guest reviews. I loved going to cinemas (there was one in Manchester where I went to Uni) that showed classics on the big screen. I know you cover as many movies as you can – perhaps reviews from other movie fans in the mix could be a good addition?

Another idea I had for the podcast is the ‘7 Degrees of Separation” game where guests or co-hosts on the show have to connect two quite distinct actors through 7 films or less in 90 seconds. For example, connect Harvey Keitel and Andy Garcia. Answer: Harvey Keitel and George Clooney in Dusk Til Dawn and George Clooney and Andy Garcia in Ocean’s 13 to… Read more »
