A One Mann’s Movies review of “Twist” (2021).
Bob the Movie Man’s Rating:
Plot summary:
“Twist” is a loose version of the Oliver Twist story, set in modern day London. Wastrel street artist Oliver (Raff Law) is found by Dodge (Rita Ora) who’s impressed with his parkour escape skills. She brings him under the wing of kindly crime mastermind Fagin (Michael Caine). He’s been stitched up by dodgy art dealer Losberne (David Walliams) and is out for revenge via an elaborately planned heist. But Sikes (Lena Headey) is teamed with Fagin, and she takes no prisoners.
The credits say “Based on the novel by Charles Dickens”. That noise you hear is Dickens revolving in his grave.
