Plot summary:
Roald Dahl (Hugh Bonneville) is struggling to be a recognized children’s author: his first book, James and Giant Peach, has bombed. But worse is to come as his beloved elder daughter Olivia dies of the measles at the age of just seven. Roald descends into a destructive period of grief, putting immense pressure on the relationship with his wife, the actress Patricia Neal (Keeley Hawes) and their other daughter Tessa.
