Plot summary:

John Garrity (Gerard Butler) is an engineer, and surprised to receive an invite from the US government to take shelter with his estranged wife Alison (Morena Baccarin) and their diabetic son Nathan (Roger Dale Floyd). It seems the approaching comet is forecast to do more than just create a spectacular light show in the sky! But getting to Greenland where the bunkers are proves a lot harder than planned for the Garrity’s, as disaster looms and society starts to fall apart around them.
